Hart Business Research was founded in 2002 by India Hart Wood to serve the business world’s need for actionable information about creative people. Our office is in Boulder, Colorado, where a rooftop array of 29 solar panels powers our work.

Leadership

India Hart Wood, founder and principal

India is half rocket scientist and half writer plus an overlay of artist. She earned an MBA in strategic management from MIT Sloan in 1996 and a BA in English literature from Dartmouth College in 1988. Prior to founding Hart, India worked as a marketing and product development manager in Boston for Houghton Mifflin publishers, NewsEdge business news, FamilyEducationNetwork.com, and SkyandTelescope.com.

Vicki Hopewell

Vicki is an art director with more than fifteen years experience interpreting design problems and developing creative solutions for magazines, books, catalogs, and reports. She has designed all of Hart’s published reports. Vicki’s clients include New Hope Natural Media, VeloPress is a graduate of the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University.

Carol Rolland

Carol is a copy editor and writer with more than 20 years of experience in the communications and publishing industries. Carol has copy edited all of Hart’s published reports. She has consulted on various projects for Coors Brewing Company, Janus Capital Group, HealthONE Alliance, and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, among others. Carol has a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Todd Dumas / DD9

Todd is the principal and creative director at DD9, developers of Hart’s current Web site. Todd earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. DD9 has designed Web sites for manufacturers, financial firms, government agencies, nonprofits, software developers, and others.
